Handmade in the USA
These Metal Candle Toppers will add both style and function to your jar candles! Simply place the stylish, thick, flat metal art on top of your candle after lighting it (but remember to let it cool before removing!). Not only do they look fantastic, but they also help your candle melt the wax all the way to the outer edges. Allow your candle to burn long enough to melt the wax across the full surface, and the topper will help even out candles that have started to burn into a core down the wick.
If you have a brand-new candle with a wick that’s too tall and causes carbon to build up on the topper, don’t worry! Just let the candle burn for a while until the wick is lower. Once it’s at the right height, the topper will work perfectly to even out the wax and prevent any issues with the flame touching the topper
Remember, always let the topper cool before removing it—your candle will thank you!
*Understanding the Differences in Metal Candle Toppers
Metal Candle Toppers come in a variety of finishes, each with its own characteristics when it comes to appearance, performance, and maintenance.
🔹 Raw Steel Toppers
Natural Finish: Uncoated, untreated metal with a rugged, industrial look.
Soot Potential: May develop soot depending on the candle’s wax type, wick material, and wick height in relation to the topper.
Heat Reaction: Discolors over time with exposure to heat—developing unique patinas like blues, bronzes, or golds.
Care Note: Can rust if exposed to moisture, so it's best used and stored in dry environments.
🔹 Black Ceramic-Coated Steel Toppers
Protective Finish: Coated in a high-temperature ceramic paint that withstands heat and resists discoloration.
Soot Resistant: Helps minimize soot build-up, keeping both the topper and surrounding areas cleaner.
Durable & Low Maintenance: The coating provides a smooth, modern finish and resists rust, making it ideal for frequent use.
⚠️ Important Usage Note:
If you're using candles with plastic surrounds (such as decorative sleeves or containers that fully enclose the candle sides), be cautious. The additional heat retained by the topper may transfer downward, potentially warping or damaging plastic components. Always monitor the temperature and ensure proper ventilation.
